Digital Options

Devine OS Digital Options are fixed-payout derivatives on digital assets, built and settled on-chain. Each contract allows a user to take a simple, clearly defined view on an underlying (for example “BTC above 60,000 at expiry”) with a known maximum loss (their stake) and a predefined payoff if the condition is met. The payoff is path-independent: only the underlying’s price at the specified expiry matters, not the trajectory in between.

Contracts are offered in discrete “rounds” with transparent parameters: underlying asset, strike or condition, expiry time, stake amount and payout multiple. Users can open positions during a defined trading window; once the window closes, no new positions are accepted and the round runs to expiry. Settlement is cash-settled in stablecoins or supported assets based on a verifiable price from external data sources, with clear rules governing which price is used and at what timestamp.

Pricing is driven by the estimated probability of the outcome, implied volatility of the underlying, time to expiry and the specific payoff structure, with a small embedded spread and/or fee that compensates liquidity providers and the protocol. On the other side of every trade is a capital pool providing liquidity, subject to explicit risk limits on maximum exposure per market and per round. Over many rounds, this structure is intended to generate positive expected returns for liquidity while giving traders a clean, bounded-risk way to express short-horizon directional or event views on crypto markets.

All positions, settlements and payoffs are recorded on-chain and exposed through Devine OS reporting, so users can audit their history, export data, and integrate the product into broader strategy or portfolio tooling.
